A typical small office network includes one to two dozen or so computer and users, a server or two, networked printers and access to other networks, particularly the Internet. Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Wires, Wireless, Security - there are many things to think about, but there are many benefits including: office wide access to printers and file servers, records management, Internet, Email and Instant Messaging. From planning and design to installation and configuration, I can help you through the entire process.
Networking your office provides:
- File Sharing. Any networked computer in your office can share files with any other networked computer. Reports, picture, data files can all be accessed anywhere in the network.
- Shared Printers. Networked computers can access and share printers. Many network ready printers are available and non-network ready printers can be shared through the computer to which they are connected.
- Internet Access. All networked computers can share a single connection to the Internet. Internet access can also be controlled or blocked for some computers.
- Shared Applications. Many records management systems allow for multiple simultaneous users. With the application/database running on a server in the office, all networked computers can access the application and the data.
